Oven Baked Potato Wedges

These are a perfect side dish for all things sandwich and steak (or just because you want some fries). I paired these with my Fried Chicken Sandwich and dipped them in some “fancy” ketchup (which is just a little Worcestershire and hot sauce added to ketchup). To make them a little bit healthier I chose to bake these instead of fry them. No matter what you pair them with, these make a tasty side!
Ingredients
- 2 large russet potatoes cut into wedges
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 cups of water
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
Instructions
Combine potatoes, milk, water, and 1 tablespoon of salt in a pot and simmer on medium low heat until potatoes are barely cooked through.
Remove potatoes with a slotted spoon and let drain on paper towels until dry.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Lay potato wedges out on a greased baking sheet.
Sprinkle the potatoes with kosher salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper and bake for about twenty minutes flipping potatoes at least once. Bake until crispy.
