Caramel Mocha Latte

In this hectic world, it can be hard to add steps to our already busy schedule. However, sometimes taking the long way around really pays off. There’s one little thing I’ve found that doesn’t require a great deal more effort but in turn, adds a great deal to my morning routine. If you have never had coffee from freshly ground coffee beans you do not know what you’re missing.

Whether you have the time to enjoy this recipe or you’re just putting some ground coffee in your coffee maker, grinding your own beans makes a world of difference. It’s so much fresher and so much more pure a taste. Once you do it you will be kicking yourself for waiting so long to try it. It only adds a bit more time to your morning…time that will be very worth it.

I use this grinder from Zulay kitchen. It works fantastic and requires no batteries or electricity, which is easily my favorite part.

I use a stovetop espresso maker but use whatever method you have at your disposal, as long as your espresso is fresh.

I make my chocolate milk beforehand in a mason jar and let it sit in the fridge until I’m ready.

Then finally, I use a store-bought caramel sauce. But if you wanna make your own, more power to you. Enjoy!

Ingredients

(This recipe makes 2 lattes)

  • 2 shots freshly pulled espresso
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate sauce
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce

Instructions

Mix milk and chocolate sauce in a jar to make chocolate milk.

Pour chocolate milk into a saucepan and heat gently on low. You want the milk just barely warm.

Use a milk frother or just whisk the heck out of the milk until froth forms.

Coat two coffee mugs with caramel sauce.

Add one espresso shot to each mug. Then, add the frothy milk on top. Stir to combine.

Top with a bit more caramel, if you want….and who the heck doesn’t?
