• Classic Italian Lasagna

I've always found lasagna to be a very interesting dish. The recipes and methods most everyone uses are always similar but it seems like every dish turns out just slightly different. This makes lasagna a very eccentric dish to cook.

  • Hearty Beef Chili

Chili: As the dog days of summer draw to a close and the thermometer begins to drop, the thing I look forward to the most is being able to cook my hot soup stew-like recipes. Personally, I can eat dishes like gumbo, chilli, and soup on the hottest days of the summer. I understand though that most people like to wait for the Halloween decorations to start popping up before indulging in the warmer comfort foods which is cool...I guess.

  • Jowl Bacon and Brie Sandwich

Pork jowl is quite possibly the most under-appreciated piece of piggy out there. Taken from the cheek of the pig, this fatty and flavorful cut is not well known by everyone. Popular in the  South as a perfect addition to a pot of beans or black eyed peas, it also makes a delicious bacon. It's cured for a while and then smoked. You think you will have died and gone to bacon heaven.

  • One Pot Shrimp and Artichoke Skillet

One of the most difficult things for the home cook is trying to come up with a meal that's both quick and healthy, especially during the work week when the amount of free time most of us have in the kitchen is very limited. This recipe is not only fast, healthy, and delicious but it all takes place in one pot! So, cleanup time is way easier. That'll give you more time to spend with your wife, husband, kids, or hundreds of cats.

  • Oven Baked Potato Wedges

These are a perfect side dish for all things sandwich and steak (or just because you want some fries). I paired these with my Fried Chicken Sandwich and dipped them in some "fancy" ketchup (which is just a little Worcestershire and hot sauce added to ketchup). To make them a little bit healthier I chose to bake these instead of fry them. No matter what you pair them with, these make a tasty side!

  • Jambon Beurre

This sandwich is so easy and delicious I could easily eat one for lunch or dinner everyday, if it wasn't swimming in carbs of course. The Jambon Beurre, as it's called in France, (I've also seen it called the Parisian on menus and the internet) is essentially just ham and butter on a baguette. I have also seen the sandwich before with cheese and cornichons so I went that route.

  • Caribbean Inspired Beef Curry

Curries are one heck of an amazing thing in the culinary world. The name and a few ingredients (curry powder mostly) are the only thing that curries have in common. The geography could not be more different. India, Thailand, Haiti, and Jamaica are just a handful of countries that have their own curry. Although I do love curries from India and Thailand, today I'm going to focus on a more caribbean inspired curry.
